Aside from becoming a validator, Google Cloud has been working with Solana to bring Blockchain Node Engine to the chain in 2023. The Blockchain Node Engine is a βfully-managed node hosting serviceβ run by the provider, which initially supports the Ethereum blockchain.
βββββ β
βWe want to make it one-click to run a Solana node in a cost-effective way,β said Google Web3 product manager Nalin Mittal at Solanaβs Breakpoint conference in Lisbon.
βββββ β
Google Cloud also announced itβs indexing Solana data and adding it to its BigQuery data warehouse, making it easier βfor the Solana developer ecosystem to access historical data.β The feature will launch in the first quarter of 2023, Mittal said.

Mittal added that Google Cloud is bringing its credits program to βselect startups in the Solana ecosystem,β with up to $100,000 in Cloud Credits available for small teams that apply.
Twitter is being sued after a major employee firing
Elon Musk, the new CEO of Twitter, made a lot of noise on Friday after he fired half of Twitterβs employees, which comes to around 3,700 total people. This resulted in a class-action lawsuit being filed in San Francisco federal court against Twitter.
βββββ β
The lawsuit, of which is stated as Cornet vs Twitter Inc., had signatures from ex-workers of Twitter who stated that they didnβt receive enough notice and that this firing is a direct violation of federal and California law.
βββββ β
However, Elon Musk recently tweeted: βRegarding Twitterβs reduction in force, unfortunately there is no choice when the company is losing over $4M/day. Everyone exited was offered 3 months of severance, which is 50% more than legally required.β
βββββ β
According to Bloomberg, Twitter has since reached out to dozens of employees who lost their jobs and asked them to return.
βββββ β
Some of those who are being asked to return were laid off by mistake. Others were let go before management realized that their work and experience may be necessary to build the new features Musk envisions, the report said, citing people familiar with the moves.
βββββ β
There appears to be two very strongly different sides to the story, so it will be interesting to see how the lawsuit plays out and how much in damages, if any, Twitter may have to pay for this major employee firing.
