Kevin O’Leary says he’s nearing deal to buy TikTok

Kevin O’Leary, star of "Shark Tank," announced that he’s nearing a deal to buy TikTok’s U.S. operations, potentially saving the app from a ban set for January 19. The deal is crucial, as TikTok’s parent company, ByteDance, has been given a deadline to sell its American business.

Hisense launches first “consumer-ready” Micro LED TV

Hisense debuted its first consumer microLED TV, the 136MX, at CES 2025. This 136-inch display features over 24.88 million microscopic LEDs, offering exceptional brightness, resolution, and contrast. Each pixel acts as its own light source, delivering deep blacks and brightness up to 10,000 nits.

Powered by Hisense's Hi-View AI Engine X, the 136MX optimizes frame rates and color conversion for vibrant clarity in any light. It supports Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+, and Filmmaker Mode for a cinematic experience. Audio includes Dolby Atmos and DTS Virtual X, and the VIDAA OS provides easy access to streaming platforms with voice control via Alexa or Google Assistant.

For gamers, the 136MX supports 120Hz VRR, FreeSync Premium Pro, and auto low latency mode. Pricing and availability are still unknown, but microLED’s high cost makes this a TV to watch.
